After a cremation the ashes are placed in an urn. The crematoria provide either an acceptable dark green cardboard box (Torquay and East Devon) or a plastic urn (not quite so aesthetic).
You can buy an urn from a wide range of materials, and some are works of art in their own right. But also you can choose any container with a volume of around 2-3 litres. Something that has meaning, such as a wooden box, a biscuit tin, a vase with a lid or other container. So you don’t have to spend money on it.
We know artists who will work to a commission, for example wood turned, or beautiful pieces made of textiles, moss and twigs for a really natural look.
We have a wide range of urns for you to choose from.
