How much everything costs

The exact cost of a funeral depends on the choices you make. You can rest assured that we will only charge you for what you have, because we break down our costs, and we don’t mark up the cost of anything we buy in on your behalf. All coffins, cars, flowers etc. are charged on to you at the cost we pay for them. So you know exactly how much you are paying for the knowledge, expertise and time of our highly trained staff, premises and specialist equipment. We are the only funeral company in Devon to charge in this transparent way. We do not require a deposit and our standard payment terms are 30 days, except for direct cremation where we require payment in advance.

Our most popular funeral option now is to have a service in our beautiful ceremony hall by the River Dart, followed by the gathering after and then an unattended or witnessed cremation early the following morning. The saving made on the cremation fee of up to £500 more than compensates for the additional time and Riverstone fee. These funerals tend to be less formal and, without time constraints, more relaxed. You can decorate the hall and make it special, adding to the atmosphere.
